Plymouth Yesteryears Memory Cafe

A fun and friendly place for people living with memory difficulties and their loved ones, to come along and socialise with others, make new friends and take part in stimulating activities. This group is a relaxed and safe environment and is open to anyone living with dementia and experiencing memory loss. It’s an opportunity for everyone to share their experiences, promote conversation and improve wellbeing.
Please contact Debbie if you are interested and want to come along.

Activities

This group is £2.50 per person, to cover the cost for refreshments, which include hot drinks and homemade cakes.

Every week there is a set theme for the session which can include music, craft, reminiscence and games.

Every so often we arrange for a guest speaker to come in and lead an activity.

We run the memory cafe along the key principles of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST). This is an evidence based talking therapy proven to slow down the progression of memory difficulties for some people. A mini gymnastics for the brain!
